CAMROSE ENERGY COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

At Camrose Energy, we believe energy is more than electricity and natural gas—it’s about community. Our Community Connections Program invests in the people and places that make Camrose and all of Alberta stronger. Whether it’s supporting local events, helping non-profits, or championing greener energy through education, we are committed to giving back where we live and serve.

Funding requests for 2026 are open and welcome. At this time, we are accepting applications for events and initiatives taking place after June 2026, as our funding commitments are already in place for the first part of the year.

WHAT DO WE SUPPORT?

At Camrose Energy, we believe strong communities make Alberta brighter. Through our Community Connections Program, we dedicate a portion of our profits to local projects that bring people together and improve life in our neighbourhoods. Each quarter we offer sponsorships for initiatives that reflect our commitment to community connection and support, including:

LOCAL EVENTS & GATHERINGS

Sponsorships for festivals, fundraisers, cultural celebrations, and activities that unite residents and build a stronger sense of community in Camrose and across Alberta.

PROGRAMS THAT HELP THOSE IN NEED

Support for organizations and initiatives that provide assistance, resources, or services that improve the well-being of families and individuals.

SUSTAINALBE NON-PROFITS

Through our Solar Synergy Program, we help local non-profits work toward a brighter, more sustainable future by supporting community-based solar projects.

THE COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS PROGRAM IN ACTION

The Camrose Energy Community Connections Program is already making a positive impact across Camrose and throughout Alberta, supporting local events and resources that bring people together and celebrate small-town spirit.

Thanks to this program, a new community projector is lighting up movie nights in Rosalind, creating memorable evenings and stronger neighbourhood connections. We’re proud to sponsor the Flagstaff Scottish Club’s Gathering of the Clans Highland Festival in Sedgewick, an annual celebration featuring traditional highland games, dancing, music, artisan vendors, and a lively Cèilidh that showcases the best of Alberta culture.

The program also powers community favourites like The Big Block Party, a summer gathering that fills downtown Camrose with food, entertainment, and activities for all ages, and To Serve and Connect, which hosts an Annual First Responder Spouse Retreat. This retreat offers education, resources, and a safe space for the spouses of first responders to share experiences, build friendships, and strengthen the families who support our everyday heroes.

By sponsoring initiatives like these, the Community Connections Program keeps energy dollars working locally, helping to build vibrant, sustainable communities and sharing the friendly, small-town service that sets Camrose Energy apart in Alberta’s electricity and natural gas market.

THE SOLAR SYNERGY PROGRAM IS POWERING A BRIGHTER, MORE SUSTAINABLE ALBERTA

At Camrose Energy, we believe renewable energy can do more than lower electricity costs. It can strengthen communities. Our Solar Synergy Program gives customers the option to direct a portion of their energy dollars toward non-profits that want to harness the power of the sun.

When you join Solar Synergy, 10% of the profits from your Camrose Energy bill is donated to help Alberta charities and community organizations install solar panels on their buildings. These funds are distributed as grants or subsidies, allowing groups to generate their own clean electricity and reduce long-term energy expenses while contributing to a greener future.

We’re proud to see the program already making a difference. Recent projects include the Camrose Women’s Shelter solar installation, which helps a vital community service lower operating costs, and the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary solar installation, supporting wildlife education and rescue with sustainable energy.

By choosing Camrose Energy and participating in Solar Synergy, you help local non-profits produce their own electricity, cut utility bills, and create a brighter, more sustainable future for communities throughout Alberta.
