VARIABLE NATURAL GAS RATES

Natural Gas rates flucuate based on the Alberta Market Price published by NGX.

When invoicing our customers, a Natural Gas Transaction Fee of $0.65 per GJ is added to the monthly Flow-Through price. The monthly Administration Fee is $7.25 per site per month. While the Flow-Through cost of gas fluctuates monthly, Camrose Energy’s Administration Fee is constant at $7.25.

Camrose Energy also offers a discounted Transaction fee of $0.35 per GJ with a security prudential. Electricity and Natural Gas retailers in Alberta are required to pay a Prudential charge to guarantee payment to the generators for the cost of energy a consumer consumes and the distribution utilities for delivery charges.

WHAT IS A PRUDENTIAL?

A prudential is one time deposit into our Prudential account which allows us to keep our rates lower and continue to save you money on your electricity bill. You will earn 5% interest per annum on this investment which is credited monthly toward your Camrose Energy bill, and the prudential is fully refundable should you choose to leave Camrose Energy.

HOW MUCH IS THE PRUDENTIAL?

The amount of the prudential on natural gas is estimated at $100.
