You can talk with Denise, Maurina or Cameron about a new plan, an account change or a charge you’d like checked. We’ll take your questions seriously and give you time to make a decision. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.
Signing up doesn’t come with an enrolment fee or a long-term commitment to stay with us. If you’re leaving a contract with another provider, it’s worth checking their cancellation requirements first so there aren’t any unexpected costs.
When you’re comparing electricity rates in Gwynne, you can choose how much certainty you’d like in your energy price. Our guaranteed electricity plans hold the price per kilowatt-hour for a set term, while variable plans follow the market. We can go over both options and help you decide which one you’re comfortable with.
A discounted plan may also be worth considering if you’re comfortable providing a refundable security deposit, called a prudential. Plans without that deposit are available too, and we’ll explain the costs and refund terms before you choose.
You can bring your natural gas account to Camrose Energy on its own or have us look after it alongside your electricity. Our natural gas plans include guaranteed and variable options, with discounted rates available on eligible plans. We’ll compare current natural gas rates and the fees that go with them, so you can weigh up the whole plan.
If both services are available at your property, your electricity and natural gas can be combined on one bill. That also gives you one team to contact when you need something changed or have a question about either service.
With Solar Club®, approved solar micro-generators earn credits for electricity sent back to the grid. You can choose a higher rate during periods when you export more electricity than you buy, then move to a lower rate when you buy more than you export. Your selected rate applies to electricity moving in both directions.
You can choose to keep excess credits on your account for future electricity bills. If you also have natural gas with Camrose Energy, ask us about using eligible credit balances toward that account. Rate changes can be requested through your online account, and we’re happy to help you work out when a change makes sense.
If you’ve signed a solar installation contract but your system isn’t running yet, ask about our pre-solar rate. We’ll check the requirements with you and explain the move into Solar Club® once your system is ready.
Camrose Energy is a locally owned Alberta energy retailer with an office in downtown Camrose. For Gwynne customers who prefer to sit down with someone, that means there’s a place nearby where you can discuss your account. You’re just as welcome to call or manage things online if that’s easier.
We also set aside a portion of our profits for community projects through our Community Connections Program. It helps support local events, non-profits and other Alberta initiatives that bring people together.
Our service isn’t limited to homes within the hamlet. We also welcome enquiries from farms, acreages and small businesses around Gwynne in the County of Wetaskiwin. Whether you’re reviewing an existing account or arranging service at another property, we can check the options for that location.
Some rural properties have different electricity or natural gas service arrangements. Give us the service address and we’ll confirm what’s available before you spend time choosing a plan.
Call (780) 781-4115 or use the form below to let us know which service you’re interested in. If you’ve already chosen a plan, you can get started online. We can find your Site ID for you if you don’t have it handy.
Your payments will come from a chequing account by pre-authorized debit. If a particular payment date would work better for you, mention it when we’re setting up your account and we’ll go over the available options and conditions.
