Camrose Energy offers electricity plans for Sedgewick households and small businesses, along with Solar Club® for qualifying solar micro-generators. Our team is based in Camrose west of Sedgewick along Highway 13. You can compare plans online or call us and talk through the details first.
Natural gas works differently within the town because Sedgewick has its own municipal gas service. We explain that further down the page so you know which services can come from Camrose Energy and which one stays with the Town. For an acreage or farm outside Sedgewick, the available services can depend on the property.
Camrose Energy is a locally owned Alberta company with a small office team. Denise, Maurina and Cameron can help you compare an offer, understand the fees or sort out a question after signup. You can call the same office again when something changes on your account.
We’ll look at the energy rate, administration fee and any prudential deposit when comparing plans. That gives you a more useful picture than an advertised rate on its own. If your current electricity plan is the better choice, we’ll tell you that too.
We don’t charge an enrolment fee or an exit penalty. Customers can cancel through the online account with 10 business days’ notice, even during a guaranteed rate term. Camrose Energy also sets aside part of its profits for Alberta groups, events and community projects through the Community Connections Program.
The Solar Club is available for qualifying small solar micro-generators with systems under 150 kW. Members can choose a HI Rate when they export more electricity than they buy and a LO Rate when they buy more than they export. The selected rate applies to both purchased electricity and export credits. Before each invoice Solar Club Members can receive a notice that shows whether the account is a net exporter or net importer for that billing cycle. You can use that information to request a rate change through the online account. Rate changes are allowed up to once per billing cycle. Export credits can remain on the account and help pay later invoices. Eligible members may also be able to transfer a credit balance to another electricity or natural gas account held with Camrose Energy. We’ll explain the membership rules before signup including the requirement to donate to your local food bank.
Our small, local office team helps with new accounts, moves, electricity rate requests, Solar Club changes and questions about an invoice. You can reach Denise, Maurina or Cameron at (780) 781-4115 and talk with someone who works directly with Camrose Energy customers.
Routine account information and invoices are available online. When a question needs more than a form or account screen, call the office and we’ll go through it with you. We won’t rush you into changing plans before you understand the numbers.
You can also drop in to see us at 4909A 48 Street, Suite 101, in Camrose. Bring a recent electricity bill if you have one, and we’ll use the rate and account details shown there when we compare options.
Sedgewick sits along Highway 13 in Flagstaff County, between Killam and Lougheed. The Town identifies agriculture, the energy sector and related support services as the base of the local economy. Its business community also includes shops, restaurants, professional services and building suppliers that serve people from the surrounding area.
Camrose Energy offers electricity plans for eligible homes, farms and small businesses across this part of east central Alberta. Qualifying solar properties can also join Solar Club through us. Customers in town and the surrounding area can call the same Camrose-based team for help with their plans.
To get started, call (780) 781-4115 or fill out the form below with the service address and the plan you’re interested in. Your current electricity bill should include the 13-digit Site ID for the property. If you don’t have the number, we can help find it using the address.
Check your current retailer’s notice requirements and cancellation charges before changing companies. If you’re moving an existing Camrose Energy account, submit the move information through your online account at least 10 business days ahead. A new signup is required for the new property, and our team can help with the details.
Invoices and rate requests are available through the online account after enrolment. You can also ask about Pick-A-Date if you’d like your bank withdrawal to happen on a regular monthly date. We’ll go over the dates available for your billing schedule and help arrange your selection.

Really quite good. A bit confusing on the billing as to what is credit, electricity, and gas on the bill.

We have been with Camrose Energy for many years now. When we opened our store in 2021, there was no question that we would sign up our store utilities with Denise. Recently, I went in to talk about our rates. She explained them in a way that I could understand and we found a way to save some money once again! Her honesty when it comes to clients is admirable. If she cannot save you money by switching - she will tell you. If you are considering making the switch - take the time to give Camrose Energy a call!

Highly recommend. Great personal service. No phone trees and endless waiting on hold. Great rates. I'm super impressed with all the work they've done around my solar system as well. Don't let the name fool you, they'll help out anyone, not just people in Camrose.

We’ve been with Camrose energy for 7 years and have had no issues. They’re so easy to get ahold of and to make changes to your account they explain any questions I’ve had and addressed them promptly. Incredibly friendly people. Best decision we’ve made We just recently joined camrose energy and the sign up process was amazing. Customer service went above and beyond to find the best solution for our home. On top of that they also support local business and I am so happy we have made this change

Camrose Energy is an incredible asset to our community. The work they do goes far beyond providing a service — they genuinely care about people and about Camrose as a whole. Their commitment to supporting local initiatives, showing up for the community, and making a positive impact is obvious in everything they do. It’s rare to find an organization that leads with integrity, generosity, and heart, and Camrose Energy consistently sets that standard. We are truly lucky to have them here.
