You don’t need a sales pitch when you’re comparing utility bills. You need to know the rate, what else you’ll pay and what happens if you want to make a change. We’ll go through those details with you, including administration fees and any deposit requirements, before you sign up.
Our plans have no signup or exit penalty fees. You can cancel or change rates with the required notice, and we’ll explain those terms along with the price. If you’re with another retailer now, check its cancellation terms too so there aren’t any surprises when you switch.
A guaranteed electricity rate gives you a set price per kilowatt-hour for the plan’s term. A variable rate changes with the market, which means the energy price can rise or fall. We offer both, so you can choose based on how much price certainty you want.
Some of our discounted electricity plans require a refundable deposit called a prudential. Other options don’t require that deposit. If you’re comparing plans, we can explain the difference and help you weigh the deposit against the available rate.
Your electricity rate isn’t the whole story. Usage, delivery charges and other applicable costs still affect what you pay each month. Send us a recent bill if you’d like help making a fair comparison with your current plan.
Once your panels are running, the electricity you buy matters just as much as the electricity you export. Solar Club® gives approved solar micro-generators a HI Rate and a LO Rate, with the option to change between them as their production and household use change.
The HI Rate pays more for surplus electricity sent to the grid, but it also costs more for electricity bought from the grid. It can make sense when you’re exporting more than you’re importing. When that balance shifts, the LO Rate may be the better choice.
We can help you understand that balance and how to request a rate change. Your results will depend on your system and electricity use, so we won’t promise that solar credits will cover every bill.
Camrose Energy is a locally owned Alberta utility retailer. Denise, Maurina and Cameron are part of the team you can speak with about your plans, bills and account changes. You don’t have to wait until something goes wrong to call us. We’re happy to talk through a renewal or explain an option you’ve seen online.
Through our Community Connections Program, part of our profits also supports Alberta events, groups and community projects. It’s a part of running this business that matters to us, alongside looking after our customers.
Leduc’s connection to the airport, transportation and industry puts homes and a wide range of workplaces close together. A household account and a small business account can have different requirements, even when they’re just down the road from each other. Tell us about the property you’re arranging service for, and we’ll check which plans are available.
We can also check farms and acreages in the surrounding Leduc County area. Electricity and natural gas eligibility can differ at rural addresses, particularly where a Rural Electrification Association or natural gas co-op is involved. Your address or Site ID lets us confirm the options for your property.
If you’re considering a switch, a recent bill gives us a useful place to start. We can review your current rate, explain our options and answer your questions without expecting you to decide during the call. Changing retailers won’t change your distributor or interrupt service simply because you’ve switched.
If you’re moving, have the service address and move date ready. Your electricity and gas services each have their own 13-digit Site ID, usually shown on an existing bill. We can help look those up if you don’t have them.
Call (780) 781-4115 or fill out the form below. Let us know whether you’re comparing rates, setting up service or asking about solar, and we’ll take it from there.

Really quite good. A bit confusing on the billing as to what is credit, electricity, and gas on the bill.

We have been with Camrose Energy for many years now. When we opened our store in 2021, there was no question that we would sign up our store utilities with Denise. Recently, I went in to talk about our rates. She explained them in a way that I could understand and we found a way to save some money once again! Her honesty when it comes to clients is admirable. If she cannot save you money by switching - she will tell you. If you are considering making the switch - take the time to give Camrose Energy a call!

Highly recommend. Great personal service. No phone trees and endless waiting on hold. Great rates. I'm super impressed with all the work they've done around my solar system as well. Don't let the name fool you, they'll help out anyone, not just people in Camrose.

Camrose Energy is an incredible asset to our community. The work they do goes far beyond providing a service — they genuinely care about people and about Camrose as a whole. Their commitment to supporting local initiatives, showing up for the community, and making a positive impact is obvious in everything they do. It’s rare to find an organization that leads with integrity, generosity, and heart, and Camrose Energy consistently sets that standard. We are truly lucky to have them here.
