FIND AN ELECTRICITY PLAN THAT SUITS HOW YOU LIKE TO BUDGET

Hay Lakes customers can choose from guaranteed, variable and discounted electricity plans. If a steady price per kilowatt-hour appeals to you, we’ll show you the guaranteed options and their terms. If you’re comfortable with market prices moving up and down, variable electricity rates are another option to consider. Some discounted plans require a prudential, which is a refundable security deposit. We’ll explain how much it is and the conditions for getting it back, so you can decide whether the lower rate is worth providing the deposit.

Choosing natural gas plans comes down to the price, the terms and what you’re comfortable with. We offer guaranteed natural gas rates that hold the price per gigajoule for a set term, along with variable options that follow the market. Discounted plans are available too, and we’ll include any deposit requirements when we go over the choices.

You’re welcome to choose Camrose Energy for natural gas alone. If you’d prefer to have your electricity and gas together, eligible services can be combined on one bill with our team looking after both.

SOLAR RATES THAT MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR SOLAR

Solar Club^® gives eligible Hay Lakes solar owners access to high and low electricity rates. A higher rate can work in your favour during billing periods when you send more electricity to the grid than you buy. When you’re buying more than you export, the lower rate is usually the more suitable choice. The rate you select applies to electricity moving in both directions. Your Pre-Bill shows your imports and exports before the invoice arrives, so you’ve got information to help with that decision. You can request rate changes through your online account or ask us for help. Excess solar credits can also be kept on your account for future bills, and we can explain the options for using them toward other eligible Camrose Energy accounts.

Denise, Maurina and Cameron are part of the team you can speak with about your account. We’re a locally owned Alberta business and our downtown Camrose office is open to customers who prefer an in-person conversation. Calling or managing your account online works too so there’s no need to make a trip unless you’d like to.

We also support Alberta projects through our Community Connections Program which receives a portion of our profits. If you’re involved with a Hay Lakes non-profit or community initiative, you’re welcome to review the program’s application guidelines and see whether your project could be a fit.

FROM HAY LAKES HOMES TO THE FARMS & ACREAGES NEARBY

We welcome enquiries from households and small businesses in the village, as well as rural properties in the surrounding part of Camrose County. That includes people looking for service on farms and acreages toward Armena along the Highway 21 corridor. You don’t have to live within the village boundaries to ask us about a plan.

For rural accounts we’ll check the service address before confirming your options. Some Rural Electrification Associations and natural gas co-ops have different arrangements so availability needs to be checked for the property itself.

Before leaving another retailer check whether your current agreement has cancellation requirements or exit fees. We use pre-authorized payments from a chequing account. If you’d like the withdrawal to happen on a particular day each month, ask about our payment-date options and we’ll explain the conditions.
