SOLAR CLUB^® RATES YOU CAN REVIEW MONTH BY MONTH

For eligible solar owners in Forestburg, Solar Club^® offers high and low solar rates that you can change as your electricity use and production change. The high rate can help when you send more electricity to the grid than you buy, while the low rate suits periods when you buy more than you send back. Your chosen rate applies to both purchased and exported electricity.

Before each invoice, your Pre-Bill shows whether you bought or exported more electricity. You can request a rate change once a month and have it applied back to your last meter read. That gives you actual usage information to work with, and our team can help if you’re unsure which rate to choose.

Export credits appear on your bill, and you can choose to leave excess credits on your account for future electricity costs. Rate changes are available through your online account, or you can contact us for a hand.

A NOTE ABOUT NATURAL GAS IN FORESTBURG

Natural gas service within Forestburg is provided by the Village, so our services here focus on electricity and Solar Club^®. You can choose Camrose Energy for your electricity while keeping your municipal utilities with the Village.

If you’re comparing natural gas rates for a farm or acreage outside the village contact us with the service address first. We’ll check whether our natural gas plans are available there, since some rural areas have local service restrictions.

Camrose Energy’s story began with Russell looking into solar panels for his family’s home. That interest grew into a locally owned energy business, and we started supplying electricity in 2013. Today, Denise, Maurina and Cameron help customers from our office in Camrose.

We also put a portion of our profits into local projects through our Community Connections Program. Supporting community groups is something we care about, alongside the everyday work of looking after our customers.

For rural properties, we’ll check the service address before getting you signed up. Some Rural Electrification Associations have different rules, so we won’t assume that every property around Forestburg has the same options.
