Camrose Energy offers electricity and natural gas plans for Wetaskiwin homes and small businesses, along with Solar Club^® for qualifying solar micro-generators. We’re an Alberta-owned retailer based in Camrose, with a small office team that answers questions before and after you sign up. Your account can include one energy service or combine electricity and gas with Camrose Energy.

Wetaskiwin residents can choose their electricity and natural gas retailer. We’ll compare our current plans with the rate, fees and terms on a recent bill, then explain what would actually change. If the numbers don’t give you a good reason to switch, we’ll tell you.

A SMALLER UTILITY COMPANY WITH CLEAR REASONS TO CHOOSE IT

When you call Camrose Energy you can speak with Denise, Maurina or Cameron at our office in Camrose. The same team can help with a new account, a rate question, an invoice or a move. You don’t have to work your way through a large call centre to reach someone who handles these accounts every day.

We’ll show you the energy rate, administration fee, term and any prudential deposit before you enrol. That gives you the full retail offer instead of one rate pulled out of context. We can also use your current bill for a direct comparison, so the conversation stays tied to your own account.

There’s no enrolment fee or exit penalty with Camrose Energy. If you decide to leave, you can cancel through your online account with 10 business days’ notice. A portion of our profits also supports Alberta events, groups and community projects through the Community Connections Program.

ELECTRICITY RATES FOR WETASKIWIN HOMES AND BUSINESSES

A guaranteed electricity plan keeps the energy price per kilowatt-hour steady for the selected term. A variable plan follows the Alberta market, so the price can change from one billing period to the next. We’ll show you the current choices and explain the difference without guessing where future prices will go.

Our base electricity plans don’t require a prudential deposit. Discounted plans offer a lower energy rate in exchange for a refundable prudential that earns interest while it’s held. We’ll confirm the amount, the refund terms and the administration fee before you choose between them.

If your Wetaskiwin account is on Alberta’s Rate of Last Resort, send us a recent bill and we’ll compare it with our available plans. We’ll separate the energy price from the other charges so you can see where a retailer change may affect the total. A guaranteed term holds your rate, but it doesn’t require you to stay for the whole term because Camrose Energy doesn’t charge an exit penalty.

WETASKIWIN NATURAL GAS RATES

Camrose Energy offers guaranteed and variable natural gas plans in Wetaskiwin. A guaranteed plan holds the energy price per gigajoule for the chosen term. A variable plan follows the gas market and includes a transaction fee, which we’ll include when we compare the options.

Base natural gas plans are available without a prudential deposit. Discounted plans have a lower rate or transaction fee and require a refundable prudential that earns interest. For a small business, any prudential can depend on the account’s past usage, so we’ll confirm the amount before enrolment.

You can bring us natural gas on its own or place electricity and gas together on one Camrose Energy bill. Both services are available through Camrose Energy in Wetaskiwin, while availability at some rural County of Wetaskiwin addresses can depend on the property’s current service arrangement. Send us the address or Site ID and we’ll confirm the options before you apply.

SOLAR CLUB^® SUPPORT BACKED BY REAL SOLAR EXPERIENCE

Solar has been part of Camrose Energy’s story from the start. The company grew from Denise and Russell Hawkins researching and installing solar panels on their own Camrose home in 2012. That first-hand experience still shapes how our team talks with Alberta solar owners today.

Solar Club^® is available to qualifying small micro-generators under 150 kW. Members can choose a HI Rate for periods when the property is expected to export more electricity than it buys, or a LO Rate when it’s expected to import more. The selected rate applies to both the electricity bought from the grid and the credit for electricity sent back.

You can request a rate change through your online account up to once per billing cycle. Export credits can remain on the account for future bills, and eligible balances may be transferred to another electricity or natural gas account held with Camrose Energy. Membership also includes a donation to your local food bank, and we’ll review the eligibility and rate details before you join.

Your online account is there when you want to view invoices or send a rate, move or cancellation request. If you’d rather talk through the details, call or visit the office. We keep both options available because some questions are easier to sort out in a real conversation.

A CENTRAL ALBERTA UTILITY CHOICE FOR WETASKIWIN AND THE COUNTY

Wetaskiwin is a regional centre with homes, shops, health and social services, construction firms, manufacturers and other local employers. Camrose Energy can serve eligible household and small business accounts across that mix. Our role is to show each customer the plans that apply to their property and explain the full cost before they make a decision.

The surrounding County of Wetaskiwin has a strong farming base along with construction, distribution and resource-related work. Eligible farms, acreages and small businesses can ask Camrose Energy about electricity, natural gas and Solar Club® too. We’ll check the address first because retailer choice can vary for some rural services.

Camrose and Wetaskiwin are both Central Alberta communities, so choosing Camrose Energy keeps your retailer relationship with an Alberta-owned company from the same region. You get direct access to our Camrose team, no enrolment fee, no exit penalty and an honest comparison of the available plans. Your account also helps fund the Alberta community work supported through our Community Connections Program.

Call (780) 781-4115 or use the form below and tell us whether you need electricity, natural gas or Solar Club®. A current bill will usually show the 13-digit Site ID for each service. If you don’t have it, our online lookup can search for the Site ID using the Wetaskiwin service address.

If you’re changing retailers, check whether your current provider has a notice period or cancellation charge before you apply. If you’re moving an existing Camrose Energy account, submit the move request through your online account at least 10 business days ahead. The new property will need a new signup.

Invoices are available through your online account after enrolment. If you prefer bank withdrawals on a regular monthly date, ask about Pick-A-Date when you sign up. We’ll explain which dates are available for your billing schedule and help arrange the one you choose.
