Camrose Energy offers electricity and natural gas plans for Provost households and small businesses with options for eligible farms and ranches in the district too. Eligible solar micro-generators can also join Solar Club^® through us. Our team works from Camrose, and you can arrange your account online or with help over the phone.

You can talk with us before moving an account or choosing a rate. Let us know whether you’re setting up at a new address, changing companies or adding solar. We’ll check what’s available for the property and explain the signup details before you get started.

SMALL TOWN SERVICE FOR YOUR PROVOST UTILTIES

We’re a locally owned Alberta business, and we’ll give you time to ask questions and consider a plan. You can send us a current bill for a comparison of rates and administration fees. If our offer doesn’t show a saving we’ll be honest about it.

There are no enrolment fees or exit penalties with Camrose Energy. If you decide to leave, you can submit a cancellation form through your online account with 10 business days’ notice. You’re free to choose a guaranteed rate without having to stay for the whole rate term.

Our Community Connections Program puts part of our profits toward Alberta events, groups and community projects. The program accepts sponsorship applications from local organizations. You can see the kinds of projects we support and find application details on our website.

YOUR CHOICES FOR ELECTRICITY IN PROVOST

Our electricity plans include guaranteed rates that hold the price per kilowatt-hour steady for the selected term. We also have variable options that change with the electricity market. We can show you the current prices and available terms for your Provost home, farm or business.

A discounted electricity plan requires a refundable deposit called a prudential. Base plans are available without that deposit if you’d rather keep the upfront cost lower. We’ll explain the deposit amount, interest and refund terms so you can compare both choices before signing up.

NATURAL GAS ON ITS OWN OR BUNDLED

Camrose Energy has guaranteed and variable natural gas plans for eligible Provost properties. A guaranteed rate holds your price per gigajoule for the term. A variable rate follows the market, with a transaction fee added to the gas price.

You’re welcome to choose us for gas alone or bring electricity and natural gas together on one bill. Discounted gas plans are also available with a refundable prudential including variable options with a lower transaction fee. Farm and business deposits depend on usage and we’ll confirm the amount for the account you’re enrolling.

SOLAR CLUB^® SUPPORT FOR PROVOST SOLAR OWNERS

Solar Club gives qualifying solar micro-generators HI and LO rate choices. The HI Rate offers a higher credit for electricity exported to the grid but it also applies to electricity you buy. It’s designed for when you’re exporting more than you’re drawing.

When you’re buying more electricity than you’re exporting the LO Rate may be a better choice. You can request a change through your online account or ask us for help. We’ll look at your import and export figures with you when you’re deciding which rate to use.

Before enrolment we’ll check your system’s eligibility and go over the Solar Club membership requirements with you. Those requirements include making a donation to your local food bank.

Before leaving another company check its agreement for notice requirements and cancellation charges. If you’re setting up at a new property, give us the service address and the date you need the account to begin. We’ll check the timing and help with the signup.

If you’d like bank withdrawals on a regular monthly date ask about Pick-A-Date when we set up your account. We’ll go over the payment dates available for your billing schedule.
