Camrose Energy offers electricity and natural gas plans for Stony Plain homes and small businesses, plus Solar Club^® for qualifying solar micro-generators. We’re locally owned and based in Camrose. You can bring us one service or have electricity and natural gas together on the same bill.

Before you switch, we’ll help you compare the energy rate, administration fee, rate term and any prudential deposit. We can use a recent bill so the comparison reflects the plan you actually have. You’ll get a clear answer about whether our current offer gives you a good reason to change.

WHY SIGN UP WITH A SMALL ALBERTA UTILITY COMPANY?

When you call Camrose Energy you can speak with Denise, Maurina or Cameron in our Camrose office. They can help before signup and stay available for questions about your account later. You won’t have to explain the same issue to a new person every time you call.

We’ll explain the full retail offer instead of pointing to one attractive number. The energy rate matters, but the administration fee and any prudential matter too. If the numbers don’t show a worthwhile reason to switch, we’ll say so.

Camrose Energy charges no enrolment fee or exit penalty. You can cancel through your online account with 10 business days’ notice, even before a guaranteed rate term ends. We also put part of our profits into Alberta events, groups and community projects through the Community Connections Program.

STONY PLAIN ELECTRICITY PLANS

A guaranteed electricity plan holds the price per kilowatt-hour steady for the selected term. A variable plan follows the Alberta market, so its price can change between billing periods. We’ll show you the current prices and term lengths without trying to predict where the market will go.

Base electricity plans don’t require a prudential deposit. Discounted plans offer a lower rate in exchange for a refundable prudential that earns interest while it’s held. Before enrolment, we’ll confirm the deposit amount, administration fee and refund terms for the options you’re comparing.

Eligible customers from 18 to 25 years old can also ask about the Young Adult Electricity Rate. It’s a fixed, guaranteed rate offered for one term and is lower than the regular stable rate. Our team can confirm whether you and the Stony Plain property qualify when you apply.

THE SOLAR CLUB^® FOR STONY PLAIN SOLAR MICRO-GENERATORS

Solar Club gives qualifying small solar micro-generators a HI Rate and a LO Rate. The HI Rate can make sense when the property exports more electricity than it buys, while the LO Rate may fit a billing cycle with higher imports. The selected rate applies to both the electricity purchased and the credit for electricity exported. Members can request a rate change through the online account up to once per billing cycle. Solar Club also has an optional RateSwitch™ feature that can change between eligible rates based on whether the account is a net exporter or net importer. We’ll explain how it works and the possible risks before you decide whether to use it. Export credits can stay on your account and help pay future invoices. Eligible balances may also be transferred to another electricity or natural gas account held with Camrose Energy. Membership requirements include a donation to your local food bank, and our team will go through the full eligibility rules with you.

STONY PLAIN NATURAL GAS RATES

Camrose Energy offers guaranteed natural gas rates that hold the price per gigajoule for the chosen term. Variable rates follow the gas market and include a transaction fee. We’ll include that transaction fee when comparing a variable plan with a guaranteed one.

Base gas plans are available without a prudential deposit, while discounted plans require a refundable prudential and offer a lower rate or transaction fee. You can choose Camrose Energy for gas alone or bring electricity and gas together on one bill. For a small business, we’ll confirm any prudential using the account’s past usage.

Your online account is available for viewing invoices and sending requests. It works well for routine account tasks. When you’d rather talk the details through, call the office and we’ll help.

You’re also welcome to drop in at 4909A 48 Street, Suite 101, in Camrose. Bring a recent electricity or natural gas bill if you have one, and we’ll use the rates, fees and plan terms shown there for the comparison.

AN ALBERTA-OWNED CHOICE FOR STONY PLAIN AND PARKLAND COUNTY

Stony Plain is part of a wider Tri-Municipal Region with Spruce Grove and Parkland County. The Town reported 1,105 active business licences in 2024 and has identified agribusiness, logistics, manufacturing and professional services as important parts of its economy. Camrose Energy gives eligible local households and small businesses an Alberta-owned option for electricity, natural gas and solar plans.

The surrounding Parkland County area includes farms, acreages and business areas connected to manufacturing, transportation, agriculture and energy services. Camrose Energy may be able to serve those eligible rural and small business accounts too. The same Camrose team can help whether you’re arranging utilities for a house, farm, shop or office.

We’ll compare plans using the account information in front of us and explain the costs before you sign. Our local ownership, direct phone support, no enrolment fee and no exit penalty all apply to Stony Plain customers. Choosing Camrose Energy also helps fund the Alberta community work supported through our Community Connections Program.

Call (780) 781-4115 or use the form below and tell us which services you’d like. A current bill usually includes the 13-digit Site ID for the electricity or natural gas account. Each service has a different Site ID, and we can help find the number from the address if needed.

If you’re changing retailers, check your current agreement for its notice requirements and any cancellation charge. If you’re moving an existing Camrose Energy account, send the move request through your online account at least 10 business days ahead. A new signup is required for the new property.

Invoices will be available through your online account after enrolment. If you’d prefer bank withdrawals on a regular monthly date, ask about Pick-A-Date when you sign up. We’ll explain the dates available for your billing schedule and help set up your choice.
